WA & Lake Argyle
From Vic River we drove through Timebr Creek settlement and on to the WA border where we lost our tomatoeas and fire wood to boder security. (the tomatoes were in a packet that was identical to the supermarket over the border!) From there up to Lake Argyle camp ground, An awesome spot with only one other van on site. off season travel has no crowds but some of the sights are closed.
There is a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the lake and some local walks to a peninsula lookout.
The lake is man made to provide power and irrigation to the region. lake capacity is 10,763 gigalitres over 1,000 sq kilometres. It can double in size and hold 3 times the water in flood protection mode.
