Port Hedland, iron ore export town big time.

Long straights and flat right into Port Hedland. Industrial town servicing the shipment of iron ore and other minerals. The harbour can take 19 ore carriers at once. These are fed by trains several kilometre long and a continous 24hr flow of road trains. Several of the mining companies have their own railways from mine to port, hundreds of kilometres distance, such as from Newman.

Sea water was actually hot and the swimming pool very warm. Cold water is only in the fridge.
This is turtle contry too and we found several nests that the goanna's had found.

Salt is harvested here and exported
