Kununurra stopover 9th Feb

 from Argyle it is a short drive to Kununurra town. Lots to do from here but some areas closed including the Bungle Bungles. Plane tour very expensive so we walked the mini Bungles. This is Boab country originally brought from Afria or Madagasca. 

Dinner went down well after that 3hr walk...

 Decided to go via Broken Hill, bit of an iconic Aussie spot. Checked the weather and went a day earlier to miss some forecasted winds. Next day came the dust storm that stopped the roads over a wide area.

1st move.

 Drove to Halls Gap via Ballarat. Lots of uphill so used a bit of diesel. Great camp spot. Grampians National Park. Awesome walks and great wine. Very dry Autumn so no spectacular waterfalls.

Coober Pedy, Opal town

 Arrived in Coober Pedy on Friday evening. Have had 4 nights here. Amazing place, lovely people, and so many sights to see. Been in underground house, been down an Opel mine, done some noodling for Opals and found a small one. Went into the Kanku Breakaways Conservation Park, absolutely stunning scenery. Enjoyed every moment here. Visited all the Opal shops, and learnt so much about Opals and their mining. Had to buy a couple to take home as a souvenir. One for each ear.
