Darwin and around

Hi All, having been having a awesome time in Darwin with staying Kate. Have been to so many locations. We have parked at Kate & Doug's and taken day trips, some overnighters with just swags and some longer trips with the 'van.

snake rescues after a trip to Fogg Dam which is awesome for animal/bird watching. one of Kates hores' turned up for morning coffee and Spud the dog got confused with mum by some newly hatched ducklings.

More ducklings arrived a week later, Spud comes to 'van for a second snooze afer mum & dad go to work.. Lu Lu was a rescue wallaby that was released but returned with a little joey who has just started peeping out at the big wide world.

Several evenings on a local sand dune with friends for wine and nibbles to watch the sun set and talk shit.

Took a 4 day trip to Dundee Beach, stayed at a bush camp and got offered the use of  outdoor shower and cold water baths (38 degree days). Used my home made cooker we cut out of an old gas bottle ($5 from tip shop)
Gorgeous beaches and nowhere to swim. Did some fishing but had to watch the water as there was a 4 metre croc upstream.

  1. Well...you made it to the top end. Deb ands I are jealous to say the least. Here we are still working at home in the office, taking shit from the Aussie Bosses, and there you are cruising around their country. Who's got this right then.? Happy trails guys. 😎 Love the critters.

    1. have been slack at updating blog, more to come to catch up. Yes the cooker works much better than expected. not bad for an old gas bottle and an oven grill.
